Not sure what is causing your issues? That’s exactly what our assessment process is for.

IS IT FOR ME?

Our clients come to us with a wide range of needs.

It might be to help them recover after a stay in hospital, including after recent surgery.

Some clients come to as they or their family members have concerns about their balance or strength and want help to get back to moving with confidence.

We work with clients before surgery to help prepare them and to improve their recovery.

Helping make homes safer from trip and fall risks and advising on indoor and outdoor mobility equipment is another part of our service.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

We’ll arrange a time to come and see you at a location that suits you. Your physiotherapist will want to fully understand your situation to provide you with the most accurate diagnosis.

The information gathering process involves asking numerous questions such as symptoms, pain and changes in sensation. Your physio may also ask you to demonstrate movement.

Treatments are typically a combination of sessions with the same physio who might prescribe exercises or movements for you to practice independently. As each condition and patient is unique, your plan will be tailored specifically to your needs.

You may want to have a family member with you and we can work closely with anyone you may want to be involved in your progress.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Edward

Jason was very helpful and encouraging after a fall associated with my Parkinson's condition. He encouraged me to walk and then progressed to steps and eventually venturing outside. He is both professional and personal.

Walter

The physiotherapist was originally engaged to work with my partner who was bed bound. He encouraged him to exercise daily in bed and over several weeks was able to get him up and about with a walker. Over time my partner was able to progress to walking outside, giving him back his independence. Since then I have also used the service to prepare myself for a hip operation and feel stronger and more confident.

Ann

I worked with my physio initially at a nursing home as I was keen to get home as soon as possible. They worked with me to give me back my confidence and improve my balance and strength. I'm back home now and able to get on the bus into town with my four wheeled walker safely. The physio was patient, kind and reassuring.
